This blog was established to share my passion for the profession of physical therapy. Like most professions, physical therapy has evolved over the years to where it is today. From reconstruction aides to today’s doctoral level education, physical therapists are quickly becoming providers of choice for many impairments and functional limitations. While physical therapy extends well beyond orthopaedic neuromuscular rehabilitation, much of the discussion here will be geared to just that; physical therapy’s role in providing direct access orthopaedic rehabilitation.
I hope you have come here to learn about physical therapy, share experiences or knowledge, and to participate in critical discussions about the topics surrounding the profession today (i.e. direct access/autonomy, evidence-based practice, etc).
